How Jaimie Baird Creates a Guest Bedroom Sanctuary

photo and design by Jaimie Baird

When it comes to creating beautiful spaces that feel serene, light and perfectly polished, interior designer and photographer Jaimie Baird's designs always inspire.

We asked Jaimie for easy ways to rejuvenate a guest room so guests can feel like they're on vacation. She shared her design wisdom with us here, and we're soaking it all in.

Add a Glass Carafe

This seeded glass carafe from Hawkins New York is not only beautiful but the cup covers the opening so the water stays a bit fresh, and this etched one is stunning. Don't forget to include coasters like this gorgeous agate set.

Subtle Chic Touches

I always add bone or shell beads draped over the base of a lamp or behind a door so when your guests close the door- it's a subtle chic touch!

These are stunning!

Vacation Vibes

Who packs a robe when traveling? A Unisex Waffle bathrobe is light weight and softens with each wash....the perfect addition to a guest space.

Contain It

If you have a fan or TV in a guest room, they all come with remotes. A great way to keep the space feeling clean is to hide them is by putting basket or box, like this woven rattan display box from Amber Interiors.

The Finishing Touches

Beautiful scents are key to creating a tranquil guest space. This Tatine Candle in Fig scent is amazing.

And of course, no guest room would be complete without a Kimsa Lumbar pillow!
